Electro Zinc Plated Steel Sheets (Zintec)

What is Zintec?

Zintec is cold-rolled sheet steel electrolytically coated with a thin layer of Zinc.  Its high machinability makes it ideal for products such as car bodies, white goods and electronics.

What is the difference between Zintec and Galvanised Steel?

The key difference between Zintec and galvanised steel is that Zintec products are made by electrolysis, whereas galvanized steel is produced by submerging steel sheets in a molten zinc bath.
Although Zintec isn’t quite as weather-proof as galvanised steel, it is still a good option for limiting corrosion.  It stores well and will avoid rusting whilst in storage or transit.
Our Electro Zinc Plated Steel Sheets are available in the thicknesses and sheet sizes in the table below with no minimum quantity.
